NOAA Websites
NOAA-Eau Claire Local Weather Forecast
This link is for the weather.gov NOAA forecast. It provides a 7 day forecast as well as current conditions as recorded for the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, WI. It also has provides a link to local radar and satellite images.
This site is great for satellite images of North America. It shows three types of satellite data: Infrared, Water Vapor, and Visible Images.
National Weather Service- Air Quality
This site has great information about the air quality of the Minnesota and Wisconsin region. I find this especially important since I am from the suburbs of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Air quality begins to be a problem since the particles fromt eh urban environment have a harder time dispersing.

UWEC Campus Websites
UWEC Phillips Hall Weather Station
This link provides information for the top of the Phillips Hall on the UWEC campus. This is great because it provides conditions for the inner city portion of Eau Claire. And it is perfect for the GEOG 341 class since the class takes place in the Phillips Hall. I especially like that the site also provides detailed history by week, month, and year. This information is difficult to find on other sites for a specific locations.
Weather Underground- Eau Claire
This site is commonly used for the Eau Claire area for local conditions and forecasts. The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire has a link to this site on their homepage. I find this site to be a nice "quick look" at the outside conditions.

ACCU Weather Website
ACCU Weather - Eau Claire, WI
This site provides great graphics and weather news for both the local area of Eau Claire, WI and nationwide by searching for a geographic region.

UNISYS Website
Unisys- Surface Station Map
This site provides a map of the surface station plots. This is great for all conditons: temperatrue, wind direction, wind speed, precipitation, dew point, barametric pressure, and more.

Weather Channel Websites
The Weather Channel
I know this is a very common site. However I like this site for two reasons: 1.) It gives me a great source for weather news across the United States. 2.) I have an app for this site on my iphone which lets me check the current conditons, forecasts, alerts, and radar all on the go. I reference this app alot in my everyday life.
Intellicast- Jet Stream
This link provides information about the Jet Stream characteristics across the nation. You can also find local weather by typing a location into the search bar.

Flood Websites
City of Eau Claire River and Flood Information
Chippewa River Information-Eau Claire
I will be utilizing these two website more in the spring with the anticipated flood season. Especially since my house is located directly on the river edge. The second site given up to date information about the river itself.
NDSU-Fargo Flood--Home Page
City of Fargo- Flood Information Center
Since my boyfriend currently lives in Fargo, ND and I will be moving to Fargo in May I will be flowing this site often this spring. There are huge floods expected to hit the Fargo-Moorhead area this spring. The NDSU site specifically provides a fanastic gateway to several other sites with flood and river information. The second link is specifically fromt he City of Fargo. It has great volunteer information.
